《神探阿蒙第二季》劇情簡(jiǎn)介：Former police d etective Adrian Monk (Tony Sha lhoub), whose  photogr aphic memo ry and a mazing abilit y to piec e together tiny clues  made him a  local legend , has suff ered from  intensified ob sessive -compuls ive disord er and a vari ety of ph obias since t he unsolve d murder of h is wife,  Trudy, in 19 97. Now on psychiat ric leave fro m the San Francisco Pol ice Depa rtment and working as a freelance  detecti ve/ consul tant on di fficult cases, Monk hopes t o convi nce his form er boss, Capta in Leland St ottlemeyer (Te d Levine), to allow him to  return to the force.  Stottlemeyer,  who wavered  between admir ation for M onk and ann oyance at hi s eccentricitie s during the first s eason,  is becoming mo re of a friend  to Monk as th e series d evelops,  frequently ca lling him  in to help, as much for M onk's  benefit as f or his o wn. However,  he knows M onk's  limitat ions as well as his strengths and may sti ll harbor doubts ab out the wisd om of allowing  Monk to carry a gun or sub due a perpetr ator. Sto ttlemeyer&# 39;s secon d-in-command, Lieutenant Ra ndall Dis her (Ja son Gray-Sta nford), a lso seems to b e develo ping both a dmiration  and compassion  for the man he  once la beled &qu ot;the de fective detect ive."
