This series is set in the fictional Beach City, where ageless alien warriors, the Crystal Gems, live in an ancient beachside temple, protecting the world from evil. They project female humanoid forms from magical gemstones that are the core of their being. The Crystal Gems are Garnet,  Amethyst,  Pearl and Steven, a young half-human, half-Gem boy who inherited his gemstone from his mother, the Gems&#39; former leader Rose Quartz.
